- attests the seal and signature of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of foreign countries concerning consular, trade and commercial matters between Nepal and the respective country
- certifies the renouncement of Nepalese citizenship.
- issues To Whom It May Concern in conformity with the prevailing rules and regulations of Nepal.
- registers the names as Non-Resident Nepali (NRN) and issues NRN Identity Cards accordingly.
- The Embassy:

- Power of Attorney giver must be physically present in front of the Head of Mission for attestation of the Power of Attorney. When applying for attestation of Power of Attorney, please submit the following documents:
- Duly prepared two copies of PoA in Nepali papers
- Application addressed to the Embassy by the PoA giver
- Original Nepalese Citizenship Certificate of the PoA giver and copies of the Nepalese Citizenship Certificate of the PoA receiver
- Two passport size photographs of each PoA giver and receiver
- Signatures of at least two Nepali witnesses on the PoA document
- Copy of the document of which the ownership is being transferred

- Applicant must be physically present in front of the Head of Mission for certifying the renouncement of Nepali citizenship. For this purpose, please submit the following documents:
- Application to the Embassy specifying the reasons to renounce the Nepalese citizenship
- Duly filled in prescribed form, which will be provided by the Embassy
- Original Nepalese Citizenship Certificate and passport
- Applicant must be physically present in front of the Head of Mission for certifying the renouncement of Nepali citizenship. For this purpose, please submit the following documents:

- Normally it takes three working days for processing the documents on above matters.

- When applying for registration of name as NRN and accordingly for issuance of NRN Identity Card, please submit the following documents:
- Duly filled in prescribed application form, which is available in the Embassy or download in this website.

- When applying for registration of name as NRN and accordingly for issuance of NRN Identity Card, please submit the following documents:

- Fee for registration as NRN is Euro 20. Fee for issuance of NRN Identity Card for Foreign resident of Nepali Nationality is Euro 50 and for Foreign National of Nepali Origin is Euro 450.

- Please visit CITIZEN CHARTER for the fee to be paid for the attestation or certification of documents.
