Special achievements

  • Pioneered to have started the first Laparoscopic Gall Bladder Surgery and first Laparoscopic Appendectomy of Norvic International Hospital Kathmandu.
  • Involved in doing the 3rd Laparoscopic APR in Nepal for Low rectal cancer.
  • Involved in a team to have started the novel technique of “Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery” in Nepal in 2010 and pioneered to have brought the first SILS ports and equipment to Nepal courtesy John Hopkins Medical Center
  • Pioneered to have hosted the first ever “Live realtime telementoring and live surgical demonstration from Oregon Portland to Kathmandu, Nepal” with Interactive session between 200 doctors in Nepal with doctors in Portland
  • Selected as a International Faculty of Primary Trauma Care Foundation UK to conduct the first course of Primary Trauma Care course in Wuhan China and has been actively involved in training and facilitating Primary Trauma care course to Doctors in various provinces of China every year till 2013.
  • Had started the first Private RT-PCR lab for detection of COVID-19 in Nepal as a MD of Star hospital which has done the second highest number of PCR tests in Nepal till date.
  • Awarded a Prestigious “Barbara Foundation Award in Best Managament Category of COVID Management 2020/21”
  • As a Cabinet Doctor of the Prime Minister and Councils of Ministers was actively involved in health diplomacy to bring FREE COVID Vaccines from several donor countries and orgnizations to Nepal thereby achieving one of the hightest percentage and rate of COVID vaccination among the nepalese population thereby decreasing mortality among people of Nepal.
